In addition to its basic task of completely enclosing the filter material and ensuring the required roundness of the filter rod, the Plug Wrap fulfills two other functions:

Functional coatings turn it into a high-quality technological component. At the same time, a printed plug wrap offers an additional opportunity to visually address the consumer.

Coated Plug Wrap

  • Special barrier coating to prevent visible oil stains from capsules on the outside
  • No direct contact between the coating and lips or fingers
  • Positive properties can be achieved through interaction with the aerosol in the filter (heat-not-burn)

Printed Plug Wrap

  • Visualization of special filters or unique designs of Plug Wraps
  • Unlimited design possibilities thanks to the combination of Plug Wrap and Tipping Paper
  • Printing colors are heat and ink resistant during smoking/evaporation
